About Us

The team behind Pristinebirchplaza

A private resort and casino on the Mediterranean shoreline. It opened in 1992 with six rooms and one principle — the best hospitality is the kind that never needs announcing.

Our story in three paragraphs

In the summer of 1992, two friends — a former hotelier and a chef — acquired a stretch of coast and turned a private villa into a six-room inn. There was no investor pitch, no marketing roadmap, and no Instagram profile. There was only a notebook with two ideas: host fewer guests better than anyone else; and decline anything that is merely "industry standard".

34 years later we have 110 keys, two restaurants, a Michelin star, two private gaming salons, a full spa, and a guest book that quietly fills with the same families returning year after year. The notebook still exists. Those two ideas remain unchanged.

The property is still owned by the same two families who began it. We have never sold to a chain, never franchised the name, and never opened a second location — though the request comes often. We give the same answer every time: do one place exceptionally well.

What we believe

Hospitality without theatre

Fresh flowers are expected. A substantial robe is expected. The work that counts most is the work guests never need to notice.

Continuity over churn

The bellman greeting you has worked here longer than many of our suites have existed. Our head sommelier has been with us for years. We hire with care and keep people for decades.

Local over global

Our menu follows what the coast provides, our cellar favors growers within four hours of the resort, and our spa products come from a chemist who lives forty minutes away.

Quiet by design

Adult-only, screen-free public spaces, gentle lighting throughout the day, and a music programme designed to blend into the room. Loud is easy. Calm takes work.

The team

Six people who guide the property day by day. Their backgrounds differ; their commitment to the standard is the same. Behind them stands a 280-person team across operations, food, beverage, wellness, gaming, and concierge.
